My firm is a patent law firm, focusing on patent prosecution for complex computer technologies, including software and semiconductor technologies.  My practice spans providing patent prosecution services for Fortune 500 technology companies on the one hand, to patent counseling services for start-up companies on the other.  Any entity, whether large or small, that needs high-quality patent-oriented legal services stands to benefit from what I can offer.

The bulk of my practice involves preparing and prosecuting patent applications through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  I also file international, or Patent Cooperation Treaty, patent applications for our clients, and manage "national stage" patent filings in foreign countries.  In addition, I provide analysis and opinions regarding the patents of others that concern clients.

While my firm is small, I employ the latest technology to ensure that our clients' needs are best met.  All official correspondence sent to and received from patent offices is imaged, and clients receive copies of everything electronically via email.  For nearly all new US filings, I file electronically, avoiding errors that can result from paper submissions.  I use two separate databases to track filing deadlines.  Furthermore, my server is backed up redundantly: once a day via local hard drive-to-hard drive backup, and every other day remotely through an application service provider to an off-site location in an encrypted manner.  For clients concerned about email confidentiality, I can accept encrypted email in two different ways.  In short, the level of technology utilized by my firm is greater than that of most other patent firms, enabling me to provide better and more timely client service.
